So in the short time that Makayla has been a US citizen, she has been to 7 different states already (Hawaii, New Jersey, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida). We are visiting my in-laws in FLorida and drove down here with them. So little girl has stepped foot in those states even if some of those were only for a few minutes. She is doing well adjusting to everything. She has a bit of a problem with time difference/jet lag. But is getting better. I have a problem with jet lag as well but i am trying to fight it.
Makayla has wrapped everyone around her little finger. She is adjusting great to people and will only get better with time. I don't think she likes all the layers I am putting on her since the weather is colder here than in the Marshall Islands.
Since we have been back from RMI, my in-laws have taken Makayla under their wing. She has slept in there room every night since we got back. I don't really mind since it gives me an opportunity to catch up on sleep. But I also think it is a great bonding experience for them. She has done really great with this arrangement. I figure, I have been with her 24-7 for the past month and it takes a village to raise a child.
