Getting ready for Christmas!
M is getting so big. I cannot believe how much she has changed in the little over 1 month we have been her forever parents. I feel so blessed and lucky to have such a beautiful child in our lives. I always wondered how people who came back with their adoptive children would say after a short time with their child that they cannot imagine their lives without that miracle. Now I know what they all meant. It feels like she has been with us for longer than 1 month of her life.
Our good friend, Linda, came for a few days to visit with M. She is such a great friend and I am grateful for everything she has done for us. She is one of M godparents. She has been with us thru the process from the start. I am glad M has her in her life.
We were able to visit Santa at the local libray and needless to say, M did not enjoy him at all. She cried every time we tried to put her on his lap. But we got the first picture of M with Santa. We also went to our first Christmas parade in Onancock on a 20 degree night on saturday. We bundled M up in a snow suit and put her in the stroller my mom got us at a garage sale and met up with friends to watch firetrucks, ponies, dogs, marching bands, motorcycles, etc. drive down the road. Wayne got M a lightsaber type of toy that lights up with all teh colors of the rainbow. M really enjoyed looking at it. She also got a pink bunny from a gentleman driving an antique car. So we were excited she got something else special.
We are planning on spending christmas with my family. I cannot wait for all of the WV crew to meet M. She is going to love it. Thank goodness she is easy going and will go with the flow of our hustle/bustle life right now. She can sleep in a noisy room as long as she is tired. She is getting better in her carseat ....sometimes. We are working on it.
